FAQs
My Visiting Vet frequently asked questions and answers!
What is a mobile veterinary visit?
A mobile veterinary visit means your fur baby receives veterinary care in the comfort of their own home. We bring the clinic to you, reducing stress for pets who may feel anxious traveling or waiting in a traditional clinic setting.
Do you offer emergency visits?
Mobile veterinary services are not intended for emergencies. If your pet is experiencing a medical emergency, we recommend visiting the nearest emergency veterinary hospital.
What services do you offer during a home visit?
We provide wellness exams, vaccinations, diagnostics, minor treatments, health certificates and quality-of-life consultations.
What services are not offered?
Services we don’t offer at this time: surgery (spay, neuter, etc), ultrasound, x-rays, dental cleaning, euthanasia.
Which areas do you serve?
We currently serve the greater Los Angeles area. Please contact us if you’re unsure whether your location is within our service range.
Do I need to prepare my home for the visit?
For visits that include comprehensive diagnostics, we recommend having a fresh urine and stool sample available at the time of the appointment, if possible. Samples should be collected either the night before or the morning of the visit and refrigerated immediately until we arrive.
For cats, clients may order hydrophobic (non-absorbent) litter online to assist with urine collection. While samples are not required, having them ready allows for more complete diagnostic testing during your pet’s visit.
Is mobile veterinary care more expensive than a clinic visit?
Mobile visits may include a travel or convenience fee, but many clients find the added comfort, reduced stress, and personalized care well worth it. Pricing can be discussed transparently before your appointment.
Can you see anxious or aggressive pets?
Yes. We are experienced in handling anxious pets and use low-stress techniques whenever possible. Please let us know ahead of time if your pet has behavioral concerns so we can plan accordingly.
What animals do you see?
We currently provide care for dogs and cats.
How do I schedule an appointment?
Appointments can be booked easily through our online scheduling system found on our home page (Click “Book Now!”). A team member will follow up if additional information is needed.
What forms of payment do you accept?
We accept major credit and debit cards. Payment is due at the time of services rendered.
